TV Actress Sanchita Ugale Dies at 22; Industry Mourns Tragic Loss

Mumbai: The television industry has been left shocked and saddened following the untimely death of actress Sanchita Ugale, who reportedly died by suicide at the age of 22. The young actress, known for her work in popular television serials and films, was found at her residence in Mumbai’s Nalasopara area on June 14.
According to police officials, Sanchita was living with her parents and sister. At the time of the incident, she was reportedly alone at home. Preliminary investigations suggest that the actress allegedly hanged herself using a saree in her bedroom. Authorities stated that the room was locked from the inside.
The incident reportedly took place between 7 pm and 7:30 pm. Family members rushed her to a nearby hospital operated by the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, where doctors declared her dead after examination.
Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene. Based on a complaint filed by her father, an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered, and further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Sanchita had earned recognition through her performances in several popular television shows, including Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya. She had also made her mark in films, most recently portraying Tarabai in the historical drama Chhaava, which starred Vicky Kaushal. Her growing presence on screen had made her one of the promising young talents in the entertainment industry.
News of her death has triggered an outpouring of grief from fans and members of the television fraternity. Colleagues and admirers have expressed their condolences on social media, remembering her as a dedicated performer with a bright future ahead.
