Mumbai: Rani Mukerji is set to reprise her iconic role as fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3, which is gearing up for a theatrical release later this month. The recently unveiled trailer has sparked widespread conversation, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about Bollywood previews in recent times.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the film a U/A 16+ certificate. With an approved runtime of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 36 seconds, Mardaani 3 now stands as the longest instalment in the franchise.
Runtime Details
As per sources, the film’s first half runs for 1 hour, 6 minutes, and 30 seconds, while the second half is slightly shorter at 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 6 seconds. For comparison, the original Mardaani had a runtime of 1 hour and 53 minutes, while Mardaani 2 was 1 hour and 45 minutes long. The extended duration of the third chapter has further heightened anticipation among fans.
Revised Release Date
Mardaani 3 was initially scheduled to hit cinemas on February 27, 2026, but the makers have advanced the release. The film will now arrive in theatres on January 30, 2026.

Reacting to the overwhelming response to the trailer, Rani Mukerji expressed her gratitude to audiences. She said the reaction reaffirmed her belief in the country’s collective conscience.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, Mardaani 3 also features Mallika Prasad and Janki Bodiwala in key roles. Mallika’s portrayal of the antagonist has drawn significant attention following the trailer launch.
