Mumbai: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday issued a strong warning to Pakistan, declaring that “Operation Sindoor was just a trailer” of India’s military capability against terrorism. He emphasized that India’s powerful BrahMos missile system is capable of striking every inch of Pakistani territory if provoked.
Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony of the first batch of BrahMos missiles manufactured at the BrahMos Aerospace facility in Lucknow, Singh said the recent military operation showcased India’s growing defence strength and technological advancement.
“Operation Sindoor was a turning point that demonstrated India’s preparedness and precision in combating terrorism,” the Defence Minister said, underlining the country’s readiness to take decisive action against threats emerging from across the border.
The BrahMos missile, known for its supersonic speed and pinpoint accuracy, is a joint venture between India and Russia and represents one of the most advanced weapons in India’s arsenal.
Rajnath Singh lauded the scientists and engineers behind the indigenous production of the missile in Lucknow, calling it a “milestone in India’s march toward self-reliance in defence manufacturing.”
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, during which Indian forces struck terrorist infrastructure across the border in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.
“India seeks peace, but if provoked, we know how to respond — with strength, precision, and resolve,” Singh asserted, sending a clear message to Pakistan and the global community about India’s growing defence capability and strategic deterrence.
