Nora Fatehi Injured in Mumbai Road Accident, Performs at Concert Hours Later; Warns Against Drunk Driving
Mumbai: Actor and performer Nora Fatehi has shared a detailed update after being involved in a serious road accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon. Despite sustaining injuries, the actress went ahead with her scheduled stage performance at a concert headlined by DJ David Guetta later the same day, drawing widespread attention and praise for her resilience.
Accident Caused by Alleged Drunk Driver
Hours after the incident, Nora took to Instagram Stories to inform fans about the crash and strongly urged people not to drink and drive. According to police officials, a case has been registered against the driver accused of ramming into her vehicle while allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
Recounting the incident, Fatehi said the collision occurred around 3 pm, when another car hit her vehicle with significant force.
“A drunk person that was driving under the influence smashed my car. The impact was quite severe and it flung me across the car. I bashed my head on the window,” she said.
Sustained Injuries, Under Medical Observation
Nora revealed that she suffered swelling, minor injuries, and a slight concussion, but assured fans that she is safe.
“I’m alive and I’m well. Except for some minor injuries, swelling and a slight concussion, I’m okay. I’m grateful for that. That could have ended terribly,” she added.
She admitted that the experience was terrifying and traumatic, stating that she is still processing the shock of the accident.
“That was a very scary, terrifying, traumatic moment. I’m slightly still traumatized.”
Doctors have advised continued observation as she recovers from the concussion.
Calls Out Drunk Driving, Cites Recent Fatal Cases
Reacting strongly to the incident, Nora questioned how such negligence could occur during daylight hours.
“I can’t believe this happened at 3 p.m. in the afternoon. I could never imagine someone would be driving under the influence and putting people in harm’s way.”
She also referenced recent fatal drunk-driving cases in Mumbai, calling the act inexcusable.
“There have been so many cases in Mumbai where innocent people lost their lives because someone chose to drink and drive. There is no excuse for that.”
Performs Despite Pain, Fans Laud Her Determination
Despite the ordeal, Fatehi chose to go ahead with her concert appearance, stating that she refused to let the incident derail her hard-earned milestones.
“I don’t let anything get in the way of my work, my ambition, and the opportunities I get. I worked way too hard to reach these moments.”
