Hyderabad Horror: Woman Finds Hidden Camera Inside Bathroom Bulb Holder in Yousufguda Home

Mumbai: In a shocking case of privacy violation, a 23-year-old woman from Hyderabad’s Yousufguda discovered a hidden camera inside a light bulb holder in her bathroom. The woman, identified as Bhukya Sanskruthi, is married to Nenavath Umesh, who works at the Aditya Trade Centre in Ameerpet. The disturbing discovery was made on October 13, leading to a police complaint and an ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Actions by House Owner and Electrician

According to the complaint filed on Tuesday at 8:30 pm, Sanskruthi informed her house owner, Ashok Yadav, on October 4 that a bathroom light bulb was not working. Yadav, along with an electrician named Chintu, visited the house for repairs while she was away at work.

Days later, Sanskruthi’s husband noticed a loose screw near the bulb holder. Upon closer inspection, the couple discovered a tiny camera concealed inside the light fixture. Shocked by the find, they immediately informed the house owner.

However, Yadav’s response raised further suspicion. He allegedly took the bulb holder with him, only to return later with it tampered and covered with plaster, claiming it was “not working.” When the couple threatened to file a police complaint, the owner allegedly tried to dissuade them, saying he would “bring the electrician to settle the matter.”

On Tuesday, when the couple confronted Yadav again about the electrician’s whereabouts, he allegedly replied, “When he gets out of jail, the electrician will blackmail you; it’s up to you.”

Police Case Registered, Electrician Missing

Following the incident, Sanskruthi filed a formal complaint at the local police station. A case has been registered under Sections 77, 79, 351(2), 296, 238 read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The electrician is currently absconding, and police teams are working to locate and arrest him. The investigation is also examining the possible involvement of the house owner in the installation of the hidden camera.

The shocking incident has sparked outrage and renewed discussions on privacy and safety for tenants, particularly women living alone or in rented accommodations.
