Filmmaker Vipin Agnihotri Seeks Meeting with Goa CM for Documentary Project

Award-winning filmmaker Vipin Agnihotri has approached Pramod Sawant with a request for a meeting regarding a proposed documentary on Goa.

As per an official communication dated April 18, 2026, the filmmaker intends to develop a documentary that captures the cultural, historical, and social dimensions of the state. The project aims to present Goa beyond its popular tourism image and highlight its broader identity.

Agnihotri has expressed interest in presenting the concept in detail to the Chief Minister and exploring avenues for collaboration with the Government of Goa. He noted that institutional support would play an important role in shaping the documentary and ensuring its authenticity.

The proposed film is expected to focus on Goa’s heritage, natural beauty, and evolving tourism landscape, positioning it as a destination with both cultural and global significance.
