Mumbai: In a dramatic and explosive statement, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead, calling the development “justice for the people of Iran” and for Americans allegedly harmed under his leadership.
Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump described Khamenei as “one of the most evil people in History” and alleged that the Iranian leader was eliminated through coordinated intelligence efforts between the United States and Israel.
“He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems,” Trump wrote, adding that multiple Iranian leaders were killed alongside Khamenei. He further claimed that members of Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), military forces, and police were now seeking immunity and were unwilling to continue fighting.
Trump suggested this moment presents “the single greatest chance” for the Iranian people to reclaim their country. “Now they can have Immunity, later they only get Death!” he warned, urging Iranian security forces to merge with what he called “Iranian Patriots” to rebuild the nation.
In a striking escalation, Trump also declared that “heavy and pinpoint bombing” would continue “uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary,” framing the campaign as a path toward “peace throughout the Middle East and, indeed, the world.”
The announcement follows reports that Trump was shown photographic proof of Khamenei’s body as confirmation of his death. However, independent verification from Iranian authorities has not yet been publicly confirmed.
The developments, if confirmed, mark a potentially historic turning point in Middle East geopolitics and could significantly reshape relations between Washington, Tehran, and regional powers in the days ahead.
